Our services

1. Acceptance of the Terms

By creating an account, clicking “Sign up,” or otherwise accessing or using any part of the Adleik platform (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms and to our Privacy Policy (collectively, the “Agreement”). If you do not agree, you may not use the Service.

2. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the revised Terms on adleik.com and indicate the “Last updated” date. Material changes will become effective 30 days after posting or on the stated effective date. Your continued use of the Service after that date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

3. Description of the Service

Adleik is a cloud-based document-management platform designed for businesses, accountants, and other professionals to upload, store, organise, and share accounting-related documents (such as invoices and receipts). Key features include:

  • Upload via web interface (drag-and-drop), email forwarding to a unique @adleik.com address, or our upcoming mobile application.
  • Automatic folder creation (e.g., by year and month) and optical character recognition (“OCR“) to extract metadata.
  • Permission-based sharing that allows account owners to invite colleagues, clients, or accountants.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the Service at any time.

4. Eligibility and Account Registration

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into contracts.
  • You warrant that all registration information is accurate and kept up-to-date.
  • You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials; you must promptly notify us of any unauthorised access or suspected breach.

5. Your Responsibilities

  • Compliance: You will use the Service only in accordance with applicable laws (e.g., data-protection, tax, export-control).
  • Content: You retain all rights in documents you upload (“User Content”), but grant us a limited, worldwide licence to host, process, and display that Content as necessary to provide the Service.
  • Back-ups: While we implement robust redundancy, you are solely responsible for maintaining back-up copies of your documents.

6. Document Processing & Automation

You acknowledge and authorise Adleik to perform automated processing—such as OCR, classification, and metadata extraction—on your User Content solely to provide and improve the Service.

7. Inviting Users & Sharing

  • The primary account holder (“Owner”) may invite additional users and assign roles (e.g., Viewer, Contributor, Accountant).
  • By inviting another person, you confirm you have lawful basis to disclose any personal data contained in shared documents.
  • Owners are responsible for actions performed by users under their workspace.

8. Subscription Plans & Fees

  • Fee schedules, billing cycles, and payment methods are described on our pricing page and incorporated by reference.
  • Taxes: Prices are exclusive of any applicable taxes; you are responsible for paying them.
  • Non-payment: We may suspend or downgrade the Service for overdue accounts after reasonable notice.

9. Intellectual Property Rights

  • Except for User Content, all software, logos, and other materials comprise Adleik’s or its licensors’ intellectual property and are protected by law.
  • You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works except as expressly permitted in these Terms.

10. Feedback

If you send ideas or suggestions regarding Adleik, you grant us an irrevocable, royalty-free licence to use, modify, and incorporate that feedback without restriction.

11. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

  1. Upload unlawful, defamatory, or infringing Content.
  2. Upload documents containing malware or personal data you have no right to process.
  3. Use the Service to facilitate money laundering or fraudulent activity.
  4. Attempt to interfere with the Service’s security or integrity.

12. Third-Party Services

The Service may integrate with third-party applications (e.g., accounting software, cloud storage). Your use of any third-party service is governed solely by that third party’s terms; we are not responsible for their behaviour.

13. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Adleik Privacy Policy, which forms part of this Agreement.

14. Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your documents. No system is perfectly secure; you acknowledge risk inherent in internet transmissions.

15. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” EXCEPT AS EXPRESSLY SET OUT, ADLEIK MAKES NO WARRANTIES—IMPLIED OR STATUTORY—INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, OR THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.

16. Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ADLEIK AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR (A) ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES; OR (B) AGGREGATE LIABILITY EXCEEDING THE GREATER OF (i) AMOUNTS YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT OR (ii) USD 100.

17. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify Adleik against any third-party claim arising from (a) your breach of these Terms, (b) your User Content, or (c) your violation of any law or right of a third party.

18. Termination & Suspension

  • You may stop using the Service at any time.
  • We may terminate or suspend your account upon notice if you breach these Terms, or immediately if we believe your use threatens the security or integrity of the Service.
  • Upon termination, your right to access the Service ceases; we will retain or delete your documents in accordance with our Privacy Policy and data-retention schedule.

19. Governing Law

Unless required otherwise by mandatory local law, this Agreement is governed by the laws of European Union without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.

20. Dispute Resolution; Arbitration

You and Adleik agree to resolve disputes informally first. If we cannot resolve a dispute within 30 days, either party may elect binding arbitration administered by [e.g., the American Arbitration Association] under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Class-action waivers may apply. Consult counsel to tailor this section or remove it if arbitration is not desired.

21. General Provisions

  • Entire Agreement: These Terms and any referenced policies constitute the entire agreement between you and Adleik.
  • Severability: If a provision is unenforceable, the remainder remains in effect.
  • Assignment: You may not assign this Agreement without our consent; we may assign to an affiliate or successor.
  • Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays beyond our reasonable control (e.g., natural disasters, internet outages).

Privacy Policy

1. Who We Are

Adleik (“Adleik,” “we,” “us,” or “our“) provides a cloud platform that allows businesses and accountants to upload, store, and share accounting documents. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use adleik.com, our mobile applications, or any other services that link to this Policy (collectively, the “Services”).

2. Scope

This Policy applies to information we process about:

  • Visitors to our websites;
  • Individuals who register for or use an Adleik account; and
  • Users invited to view or contribute to documents.

It does not apply to third‑party websites or services linked from our platform.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  1. Provide and operate the Services, including storage, OCR, and folder automation;
  2. Secure the Services, detect fraud, and protect against misuse;
  3. Communicate with you about updates, security alerts, and administrative messages;
  4. Improve and develop new features through analytics and usage trends;
  5. Process payments and manage subscriptions;
  6. Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms.

5. Legal Bases for Processing (EEA/UK users)

We rely on the following legal bases:

  • Contractual necessity – to provide the Services you request;
  • Legitimate interests – to protect security, improve our platform, and market similar products (where not overridden by your rights);
  • Consent – for optional cookies or marketing emails (you may withdraw consent at any time);
  • Legal obligation – to comply with accounting, tax, and regulatory requirements.

6. Sharing & Disclosure

We share information only as described below:

  • Service Providers – cloud hosting, OCR engines, payment processors, email services, analytics; they may access your data solely to perform services on our behalf under confidentiality agreements.
  • Other Users – people you invite or who have been granted access to your workspace/document folders.
  • Compliance & Safety – to regulators, law‑enforcement, or other parties when required by law or to protect rights, property, or safety.
  • Business Transfers – in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or a portion of our assets, subject to confidentiality.

We never sell your personal information.

7. Email Forwarding Feature

When you or third parties forward an email to your unique @adleik.com address, we ingest the entire email (including attachments). We parse attachments to extract documents and metadata. Non‑document content (e.g., email body) may be stored temporarily to aid processing and spam detection, then deleted.

8. Sub‑processors

A current list of sub‑processors is available at adleik.com/subprocessors and includes infrastructure providers (e.g., Amazon Web Services), analytics services, and email delivery vendors. We will notify users before adding new sub‑processors.

9. Data Retention

We retain User Content and personal data for as long as you have an active account or as necessary to provide the Service. We may retain certain information after account closure where required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., dispute resolution, audit logs).

10. Security

We implement technical and organisational measures such as encryption in transit (TLS), at‑rest encryption, access controls, and regular security assessments. No security measure is perfect; please secure your account credentials and notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorised activity.

11. International Data Transfers

We are headquartered in Estonia and may process and store information on servers located in other countries. Where required, we implement standard contractual clauses or other approved transfer mechanisms.

12. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data; object or restrict certain processing; or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights, email support@adleik.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by law.

You may opt out of marketing emails by clicking the unsubscribe link or adjusting your account settings.

13. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If we learn we have done so, we will delete the data and close the account.

14. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. We will post the new version with an updated “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide prior notice via email or the Service.
